1. CONGESTION MANAGEMENT IN DERGULATED MARKET USING FIREFLY OPTIMISATION
Navneet Kumar, N.K. Yadav
Abstract
In a interconnected grid system the optimum power flow (OPF) is an important operation with respect to transmission line losses and other operational constraints of the power system. Moreover with the deregulation of the power industry the methods of operation and control strategies of optimum power flow (OPF) have undergone huge changes. The increase in power transaction with respect to real time increase in demand and for satisfying those demand the competition of the market players (GENCOs), are creating stress on the power system and preventing normal flow of power, thus leading to power congestion in the system. In this paper a firefly optimization algorithm has been utilized to solve the problem of Power Congestion by rescheduling of active power of generators, which are selected on the basis of sensitivity to congested network. Here a comparative study has been made among solutions obtained from congestion management and unmanaged network in IEEE 30 bus system. It is observed that the proposed method is capable of producing better results.

2. MARKET REGULATION BY LMP FLATENNING
Amit Sheoran, N.K. Yadav
Abstract
The increasing uncertainty on generation and on loads requires the improvement of the sustainability and robustness of the network, which determines the need for new model and applications in several areas, namely in the Transmission Expansion Planning (TEP). This work focuses on a real dynamic TEP model which is based on several planning criteria to reduce the LMP difference. Each criteria is tested on 8 different levels which reduces the potential buses for the installation of new line in between. The results will show the selection of single planning criteria to flatten the locational market price.

3. Review of Speech Recognition for Improvement in Learning
Prachi Poddar
Abstract
This paper review literature from 1998 to 2014 inclusively on how Speech Recognition has been implemented to enhance learning. Speech recognition (SR) technology has a burgeoning range of applications in education system. The first motive of this review is to understand how SR technology has been practiced to improve learning over the past sixteen years, and the second is to analyze all research evidence on how SR technology can improve pedagogy. Earlier, SR technology was confined only to specific users i.e. students with physical or cognitive disabilities, Now, it has been used by a broader group of people. This technology is rapidly taking its roots into traditional learning also. There are numerous advantages of implementing SR technology for learning purpose. Moreover, some implications over the SR technology in pedagogical and technological aspect are discussed in the review, such as learning behaviors to use STR-texts, accuracy rate of the SR process and design of technology-based learning activities. Finally, the paper discusses some potential solutions for the future research.
